Swiss Belle Program Guidelines
 

The following are the requirements for OBA Production Awards:

 

v     Please send a copy of the nominated doe’s individual DHIA record (doe/cow page) for lactations beginning January 1 & completed by March 31 the following year to the Swiss Belle Chair (see application form). 

v     These awards are open to any Purebred, American, Recorded Grade & Experimental Oberhasli, owned by members of the Oberhasli Breeders of America.

v     Entry fee $2.00 per animal for both weights & components (even if different levels), made payable to OBA.

v     Make additional copies as needed of the form. 

v     Certificates will be awarded and results forwarded to the dairy goat publications.

 

 

DEADLINE for Entries is April 1 (postmark)

         LIFETIME PRODUCTION AWARD   (1 time award)     Any number of lactations:
                              8000 lbs. milk & 300 lbs. butterfat Or
                                  8000 lbs. milk & 250 lbs. protein         

PLATINUM BELLE AWARD LEVELS    Milk:     3200 lbs. or
                                                                  Butterfat:  120 lbs. or
                                  Protein:   100 lbs.

 

GOLD BELLE AWARD LEVELS       Milk:     2600 lbs. or
                                  Butterfat:  100 lbs. or
                                  Protein:    80 lbs.

 

SILVER BELLE AWARD LEVELS      Milk:      2100 lbs. or
                                  Butterfat:   90 lbs. or
                                  Protein:    70 lbs.

 

COPPER BELLE AWARD LEVELS        Does freshening at 1-06 or less
                                  Milk:     1600 - 2099 lbs. or
                                  Butterfat:  60 - 89 lbs. or
                                  Protein:   50 - 69 lbs.

 

          BRONZE BELLE AWARD LEVELS          Does 6 years and over
                                      Milk:      1800 - 2099 lbs. or                                                                            Butterfat:     70 – 89 lbs. or                                                                            Protein:        60 - 69 lbs.

 

MINI BELLE CERTIFICATE

   Must be from an Official ADGA or AGS One-Day Competition
One day point total:     21 pts.
DIAMOND BELLE AWARD 
(1 time award) 

Permanent Champion (GCH-ADGA, MCH-AGS) AND
         a GOLD or   PLATINUM BELLE AWAR
Golden Bucket Award (NEW!)

Permanent Champion (GCH-ADGA, MCH-AGS) AND
a PLATINUM BELLE AWARD AND
a Linear Appraisal Score of 88 or higher
SILVER SIRE AWARD   

Herd sire with at least 3 daughters qualifying
for SILVER BELLES
DIAMOND SIRE AWARD

Herd sire with at least three (3) daughters qualifying
for GOLD,  PLATINUM or DIAMOND BELLES
To apply, send doe sheet and include Doe or Buck full registration name, sire and dam name, owner and breeder name, owner’s address, telephone and e-mail or fax number..

If a sire award, list name of qualifying daughters.
